KAMPA Tours & Events (“KAMPA”, “we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit kampatourism.com, request a quote, book a journey or contact our team, why we use it, who we share it with and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are

KAMPA Tours & Events is an Istanbul-based travel agency operating escorted journeys, tailor-made trips, accommodation and event services in Türkiye, Greece and the Middle East and North Africa since 2003. For the purposes of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), KAMPA is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

• Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and, for travel partners, your company name, country or market and type of business.

• Journey details: the itinerary you are interested in, preferred dates, number of travellers, hotel category, and any preferences or requirements you share with us.

• Booking information: once you book, the details our suppliers need to deliver your journey — for example full names as they appear in passports, nationality, date of birth and passport details for hotels, domestic flights and site permits, and dietary, medical or accessibility needs you choose to tell us about.

• Payment information: payments are handled by our bank or payment provider. We keep records of amounts paid and invoices, but we do not store full card numbers.

• Communications: messages you send through the forms on this site, by email, phone or WhatsApp.

• Website data: technical information your browser sends when you visit (such as IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed) and, only if you accept analytics cookies, anonymous usage statistics.

3. How and why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal — this is a step you ask us to take before entering into a contract.

• To confirm, operate and support your booking before and during travel — this is necessary to perform our contract with you.

• To keep accounting, tax and tourism-licensing records required by law in Türkiye and, for journeys that include Greece, in Greece.

• To keep the website secure and working, and — with your consent — to understand how it is used so we can improve it.

• To share relevant news or offers only if you have asked us to; you can opt out at any time.

We do not sell or rent your personal data.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only when it is needed for the purposes above:

• Travel suppliers: hotels, airlines, transport companies, licensed guides, venues and partner agencies in the countries your journey visits.

• Service providers: our bank and payment providers; website hosting and security (Cloudflare); our form service (Web3Forms), which delivers the messages you send through this site to our inbox; our email and office software; and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics.

• Travel partners: if you booked through a tour operator or travel agency, we exchange the booking details needed to operate your journey with that partner.

• Authorities: where the law requires it, for example for accommodation registration or at the request of a public authority.

5. International transfers

Because our journeys and some of our service providers are outside Türkiye, your data may be transferred to and processed in other countries, including Greece, EU member states and the United States. We make these transfers only when they are necessary to deliver the service you requested or on the basis of the safeguards required by KVKK and, where applicable, the GDPR.

6. Cookies

This site uses essential cookies that it needs to work, including one that remembers your cookie choices. Analytics cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie preferences, or delete cookies in your browser settings.

7. How long we keep it

We keep enquiries that do not lead to a booking for up to two years, booking and invoicing records for as long as tax and commercial law requires (generally ten years in Türkiye), and analytics data for no longer than fourteen months. After that we delete or anonymise the data.

8. Your rights

Under Article 11 of KVKK, and under the GDPR where it applies, you may ask us whether we process your personal data and request information about it; learn the purpose of the processing and whether it is used accordingly; learn the third parties it is transferred to in Türkiye or abroad; ask us to correct incomplete or inaccurate data; ask us to delete it where there is no longer a legal reason to keep it, and to notify the recipients of these changes; object to a result that affects you and arises solely from automated processing; claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing; and withdraw any consent you have given.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in section 1 or through our contact page. We will reply as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, if you live in the EU, to your local data protection authority.

9. Security

This website is served over an encrypted connection, and access to booking information is limited to the staff and suppliers who need it to operate your journey. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we review our measures regularly.

10. Children

We accept bookings for children only from a parent, guardian or group leader, who provides the information needed for the child to travel.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last update at the top.
