Şirince village

Overview

Şirince sits in the hills above Selçuk, a short drive from Kuşadası. Its stone and timber houses were built by the Greek families who lived here until the 1920s, and the village kept its shape when Turkish families from Thessaloniki settled in their place.

You walk the lanes with your guide, stop at the stalls where villagers sell their own jams, thyme and olive oil, and taste the local wines Şirince is known for.
