Kaleiçi harbour, Antalya

Overview

Ancient and old Antalya in a single day. The morning is for Perge, the Pamphylian city a few kilometres inland, with its Hellenistic towers and colonnaded street.

In the afternoon you walk into Kaleiçi through Hadrian’s Gate, built for the emperor’s visit in 130 AD, and down through Ottoman houses and the Fluted Minaret to the old Roman harbour below the cliffs.
