Perge & Aspendos

Daily tours

Antalya

Theatre of Aspendos

Overview

Two of the great cities of ancient Pamphylia in one day, both on the plain east of Antalya. At Perge you enter through the round towers of the Hellenistic Gate and walk the long colonnaded street, with the water channel still running down its centre.

At Aspendos the theatre built under Marcus Aurelius stands almost complete, stage building and all, and still hosts performances. The aqueduct that fed the city crosses the plain nearby.
