From Istanbul to Athens: A Journey Across Turkey and Greece

Day 1 – Arrival in Istanbul

Upon arrival in Istanbul, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your landing time, an optional introductory tour of the city may be organized. In the evening, enjoy dinner and settle in for your first overnight stay in this vibrant metropolis that bridges Europe and Asia.

Day 2 – Istanbul

A full-day guided city tour introduces Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks. Visit the Blue Mosque, marvel at the architectural grandeur of Hagia Sophia, explore the imperial halls of Topkapi Palace, and wander through the bustling Grand Bazaar. Dinner and overnight stay in Istanbul.

Day 3 – Istanbul to Ankara

Begin the day with a scenic boat cruise along the Bosphorus, offering unforgettable views of palaces, mosques, and waterfront neighborhoods. Later, travel by air-conditioned bus to Ankara, the capital of Turkey. Dinner and overnight stay in Ankara.

Day 4 – Ankara to Cappadocia

Visit Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, followed by the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. Continue by bus to the surreal landscapes of Cappadocia. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Cappadocia.

Day 5 – Cappadocia

Explore the unique volcanic terrain of Cappadocia. Visit the Göreme Open Air Museum with its rock-cut churches and frescoes, admire panoramic views from Uçhisar, and walk through the striking Red Valley. Dinner and overnight stay in Cappadocia.

Day 6 – Cappadocia – Konya – Pamukkale

Depart for Konya, visiting the historic Sultan Hani Caravanserai and the Mevlana Museum, home of the Whirling Dervishes’ spiritual legacy. Continue to Pamukkale and visit the ancient city of Hierapolis. Dinner and overnight stay in Pamukkale.

Day 7 – Pamukkale to Ephesus

Travel by bus to Ephesus and explore one of the best-preserved ancient cities of the classical world. Walk along marble streets, temples, and theaters that once formed a major Roman center. Dinner and overnight stay in Izmir.

Day 8 – Izmir to Athens

Transfer to Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport for your international flight to Athens. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Athens, the cradle of Western civilization.

Day 9 – Athens

Discover Athens with a guided tour including urban sightseeing, the Acropolis, and the Acropolis Museum. Admire ancient temples and artifacts that define Greek classical heritage. Dinner and overnight stay in Athens.

Day 10 – Athens – Corinth – Mycenae – Epidaurus – Nafplion

Depart Athens toward Nafplion, stopping en route at the Corinth Canal Bridge, the ancient citadel of Mycenae, and the renowned theater of Epidaurus. Dinner and overnight stay in the charming seaside town of Nafplion.

Day 11 – Nafplion – Mystras – Olympia

Travel toward Olympia with a stop at the Byzantine citadel of Mystras, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to Olympia for dinner and overnight stay near the birthplace of the Olympic Games.

Day 12 – Olympia – Nafpaktos – Delphi

Visit Ancient Olympia and its museum before continuing toward Delphi. En route, stop at the picturesque town of Nafpaktos. Dinner and overnight stay in Delphi.

Day 13 – Delphi – Meteora (Kalambaka)

Explore the archaeological site of Delphi and its museum, once considered the center of the ancient world. Later, depart for Kalambaka, gateway to Meteora. Dinner and overnight stay in Kalambaka.

Day 14 – Kalambaka – Thermopylae – Athens

Visit two of the spectacular Meteora monasteries perched atop dramatic rock formations. Continue toward Athens, stopping at Thermopylae and enjoying a winery visit in Lamia along the way. Dinner and overnight stay in Athens.

Day 15 – Departure from Athens

Enjoy leisure time until your scheduled transfer to Athens International Airport for your return flight. End of services.
